FAQ: General

What vaccinations are required to use Central Pet services?

At Central Pet, the safety of your pet always comes first!  In order to provide a safe and healthy environment for all of our guests, we require that all dogs and cats provide proof of current vaccinations.  For our canine guests, this includes Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies.  For our feline guests we require FVRCP and Rabies.  Do you have a young puppy or a pet who is medically unable to receive vaccinations?  No problem!  We accept puppies after 9 weeks of age who have received the first 2 of their Distemper/Parvo vaccinations.  We do require that they finish all future vaccinations on schedule and that proof of these vaccinations is provided to Central Pet.  For our guests who are medically unable to receive vaccination, we do accept Titers with the understanding that they must be renewed annually.  Have further questions about vaccinations and your pet?  Give us a call today!

What days are you closed during the year?

While Central Pet operates 365 days a year to provide consistent, quality care to our guests, we are closed to the public for certain holidays.  Check out our holiday closures on our Locations page!

Do I need to put down a deposit?

Central Pet does not require deposits for most services.  However, boarding reservations made over a holiday do require a 50% deposit as we reach full capacity during these times.  That 50% is refundable, should you have to cancel, if the cancellation is made at least 2 weeks (14 calendar days) prior to the scheduled date of check-in.  If the reservation is cancelled within this 2 week window then the deposit is forfeited.

What is your cancellation policy?

We know that life doesn't always go as planned!  Because of this, we do not charge a fee for cancelled reservations for any of our services, excluding deposit forfeiture for holiday reservations that are cancelled within the 2 week window.

Can I come tour the facility?

Absolutely!  We pride ourselves on having an open-door policy; allowing you to "pop in" any time during normal business hours to tour the facility.  Because of our high standards, our facilities are always tour-ready.  We do ask that you leave your pets at home for the tour.

Can someone else drop off or pick up my pet for me?

We're happy to accommodate this request.  We will need the name and phone number of the person that will be handling your pet.  Pets picked up by someone other than the owner we have on file must have their account paid in full prior to departing the facility.  We also ask that your friend or family member provide their ID at pick up to ensure that we are releasing your pet to the correct person.
