Hi… my name is Butchie, Butchie has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. Thanks for looking at my pictures. I am currently in Foster Care, so please call TALGV office 625-3170 (10-2 daily) to make arrangements to meet me. I’ve been at the Animal League longer than just about any dog. We don’t know why. Maybe partly because I need to be an only dog. (When adopted as a puppy, I didn’t get along with the family’s other dogs, so I was returned, bigger and older.) My manners are outstanding—proven by my AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate! And I love to share car rides, walks (good on a leash), and playtime with my favorite Kong toy. I’d also love to be a lap dog, but at 70 pounds, I’ll happily snuggle by your side because, most of all, I love people. What could be better than someone who loves you every day? If you give that to me and let me love you in return, I’ll be the happiest dog in the world!
Hi… my name is Clyde. Clyde earned his Canine Good Citizen certificate on February 9, 2016. I arrived at TALGV in August of 2014, and I’ve learned a lot since then! Now, my TALGV friends are proud to announce that I have earned my AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. I know all the special commands, can be left alone without whining, and will let my people brush and handle me when asked. I’m an exuberant guy and truly love my walks, usually trotting right next to my human, but I need a strong person on the other end of my leash, someone who’s even better trained than I am! A handsome chocolate and white Staffie mix, I’ve lots of love to give the one who’ll continue to teach me on a regular basis—I love attention. Are you out there? If it’s you, please come see me soon!
Hi… my name is Kaylee, When I first came to TALGV, I’d been lost and wandering with my dog friend Lenny. We were adopted separately, but now I’m back because I could not live peacefully with the other dog in my new home. You could say I prefer the attention that comes with being the only dog. I love people—my owners said I love kids and big people, too. Plus, I’m very smart, leash trained, housebroken, and know commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “leave it.” I’m a red Shepherd mix female, about 39 pounds on a slender build, alert (have you seen my ears?), and in my dreams I picture our fun times ranging from playing ball to hanging out on the couch. If that would be good for you, too, let’s start today!
My profile is still under construction. Interested in learning more or stopping in to meet me? Call the Animal League of Green Valley or Jill at Central Pet to arrange a meeting!
Hi… my name is Sparky. Nature gave me the gift of energy! Even as I’ve grown up and now have some years under my belt, I’m still an extraordinarily lively, exuberant guy. I did have a happy home once—a mom, dad, two small kids, but when their living situation changed, no one had time for me anymore. They felt I deserved more attention than they could provide—especially from someone who could give me training and guidance. Okay, I’ve had some extra training now. And the good things my people said about me are true to this day: I’m a loving, playful guy who’s good on a leash, and loves walks and runs. (I also have a HUGE bark for my size; think “great watchdog.”) So if you’re active and energetic, too, we could be so great together!
Hi… my name is Pluto, When I arrived here, I just sat by myself, sad and lonely. Then, after a few days, I realized things might be okay for me. I started going for walks, playing “find it” for treats (love that game!), and making new friends. As a rule, I’m cautious with new people (might growl when they approach); but my former family reported that I could be “loving with people I know.” For fun, I enjoy nice long walks and playing fetch, plus I’m good in the car and housetrained. I’m a smart 2-year-old black Lab mix male, 90+ pounds (did I mention the treat game?), and once we get to know each other, I’m a good and loving companion. My suggestion? We should get acquainted real soon because we could be happy together for a long time!
Hi… my name is Benji. Thanks for looking at my pictures. My biography is under construction. Please stop back again to read about me or… even better… call the Animal League of Green Valley or Jill at Central Pet to meet me soon!
